Epiphany Preschool serves children between the ages of 2.5 to 5 years old. Our programs take place Monday-Friday from 9:00am until 1:00pm. For our transition class, children should be 2.5 by September 30th, but do not need to be toilet trained. Children enrolling in our 3 and 4-year-old classes should be fully toilet trained.
Our 4-hour program allows more time for deeper exploration of interests, as well as expanded social development in a supported environment. We strive to maintain a 5:1 student-to-teacher ratio so each child received individual support to meet them where they are developmentally.
Epiphany Preschool utilizes monthly focus areas experienced through thematic activities. Our curriculum is designed to build concepts from one year to the next, encouraging children to learn through exploration and discovery. Our activities are developmentally appropriate for each age group. Epiphany Preschool uses the Handwriting without Tears Get Set for School program to supplement lesson planning. Children attend Music weekly and Chapel monthly. Students who attend on Friday experience mixed-age social opportunities and special projects.
2.5 – 3 year old program This is a wonderful transitional program for 2.5 and young 3 year-olds. Children do not have to be fully toilet trained for this program. This class is designed to help make the transition from home to preschool. Children learn to be a part of a group as they spend lots of active time playing, singing, in the dramatic play center and creating masterpieces to hang on the refrigerator!
3 days per week: Tuesday/Wednesday/Thursday
3-year-old program Our 3-year old program meets three, four or five days per week. A primary goal in our 3 year-old classes is to help children have a positive first experience in school. We provide a loving atmosphere where children are encouraged to explore and discover the world around them to help them make a successful transition from home to school. Part of the transition to school means learning to share and cooperate with new friends. Character traits such as kindness, caring, compassion, respect, self-control, perseverance, patience, thankfulness, and responsibility are incorporated into hands-on learning activities. Language is growing by leaps and bounds at this age and much time is spent helping the children express their thoughts, ideas, and feelings. The children are very busy trying on “dress-ups”, brushing colors on easel paper, squeezing play dough, stacking blocks, putting puzzles together, digging in sand and water tables, singing songs and listening to stories.

4-year old program Our 4-year old program meets four or five days per week. Our 4-year-olds are involved in a wide variety of group and individual activities. Four year-olds expand their problem solving abilities, grasp of language, and memory and listening skills, while enjoying relationships with classmates. There will be a full year of activities to help the children strengthen their small muscles needed for writing, understand and follow directions, learn to count objects, use positional words (up, down, etc.), and grow in their ability to focus during group times. We continue focusing on the important character traits learned in the younger classrooms. Circle time stories and finger plays, center time hands-on learning experiences, and creative movement are all part of the 4-year-olds preschool experiences.
